New Data Tool for IP Rights Filing Information

IP Australia launched a new IP Rights Overview tool making it easier for users to understand and access general intellectual property (IP) rights filing information.

The tool is useful for searching the latest IP data trends.

It uses data updated weekly from the IP RAPID open dataset, presented through a streamlined, user-friendly platform.

While IP RAPID will remain the main publicly available dataset tailored for data experts and researchers, the IP Rights Overview tool addresses requests from customers for easy-to-read, high-level IP data.

IP Rights Overview illustrates this information for everyday or infrequent data users using infographics and easy-to-understand visualisations.

What information does IP Rights Overview provide?

IP Rights Overview has an interactive user interface and provides IP application data from the current and past two financial years on:
• names and origins of applicants
• IP rights applied
• classifications and subtypes
• filing trends.

Explore IP Rights Overview here.
