S.M.D. Markeur is a leading company in the field of intellectual property (IP) that has been searching and monitoring worldwide since 1949.

S.M.D. Markeur had been publishing the “Trademark Practitioner’s Guide” in book form for its clients for several years. In June 2009, the company decided to go online with the website Country Index to keep the information more up to date and make the content available to a wider readership of IP users.
A network of local lawyers informs S.M.D. Markeur on trademark regulations, proceedings, oppositions and official fees in different countries. These experts also report possible amendments to international trademark laws thus updating the content of Country Index. Subscribers of the newsletter will be informed about trademark developments made to the Country Index on a monthly basis.
