Trademark Office reinstates filing requirements


The Libyan Trademark Office has announced the reinstatement of trademark filing requirements, effective October 12, 2025. It is required to super-legalize the documents necessary for trademark registration with the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after being legalized by the respective Libyan Consulates.

This requirement is based on item No. 2 of the regulations issued by the Trademark Office on February 14, 2024, which stipulates compliance with the filing requirements for applications.

This measure has been in effect since February 2024 and has been implemented by the TMO until April 2024. It will now be reinstated.
