New EU fact sheet highlights IP from an investor perspective


On 14 September, 2026, the European IP Helpdesk has published a new fact sheet on the role of intellectual property in improving investment readiness for start-ups and SMEs.

The publication explains how a well-managed IP portfolio can help demonstrate competitive advantage, reduce legal uncertainty and strengthen a company’s value proposition when approaching investors. It also outlines the IP-related aspects investors typically examine and provides practical guidance on how businesses can prepare and present their intellectual and intangible assets more effectively.
